Amplifying interoceptive signals can increase anxiety or be uncomfortable for some. In addition, many people do not experience strong interoceptive sensations, so experiences that are overly dependent on subtle interoceptive cues may not work well for these audience members.

Biometric data can be highly sensitive. For example, heartrate monitoring may reveal abnormalities that a participant may not yet be aware of and that onsite staff may not be trained to handle. User consent and data privacy considerations are critical.
